Anybody peg Lena Dunham as an Archie comics fan? The star and creator of HBO's Girls will pen a four-part Archie Comics story that is slated to hit newsstands, comic book stores, and the supermarket check-out aisle at grocery stores in 2015.

The news first broke in The New York Times, which stated that Dunham's public admiration for the Archie comics led to her being approached to write a part for the comic series. "I was an avid Archie collector as a child—conventions, first editions that l kept in plastic sleeves, the whole shebang," Dunham said. "It has so much cultural significance but also so much personal significance...to get to play with these beloved characters is a wild creative opportunity."

Also according to the Times, Dunham can thank Archie Comics' new Chief Creative Officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa for the opportunity: Getting Dunham on board as a writer for the comic was his first move in the new position.

"Everyone at Archie is thrilled Lena’s coming aboard to write this story," Aguirre-Sacasa, who also writes Afterlife With Archie said.

Dunham's arc will center around the folks of Riverdale dealing with a reality show being filmed in their town.
