Jony Ive doesn't like how the world looks, and thinks that Apple is one of the only companies that gives a damn.

"We’re surrounded by anonymous, poorly made objects," he told the UK's The Sunday Times. "It’s tempting to think it’s because the people who use them don’t care — just like the people who make them. But what we’ve shown is that people do care. It’s not just about aesthetics. They care about things that are thoughtfully conceived and well made."

So, who will save everyone from these poorly made objects? You already know the answer.

"We make and sell a very, very large number of (hopefully) beautiful, well-made things. Our success is a victory for purity, integrity — for giving a damn," he continued.

Though Ive did come out and say that if Apple did stop giving a damn, he wouldn't have any reservations leaving the company,

“Yes. I’d stop. I’d make things for myself, for my friends at home instead. The bar needs to be high,” adding, “I don’t think that will happen.”
