According to The Hollywood Reporter, WWE Superstar John Cena has been added to the cast of director Judd Apatow’s upcoming comedy, Trainwreck. Cena will star alongside Amy Schumer, SNL’s Vanessa Bayer, Ezra Miller, Brie Larson, Bill Hader, and Colin Quinn. Cena may not fit the typical Apatow mold, but with The Rock becoming the top-grossing star in the world, wrestlers might be Hollywood's next big thing.

Cena’s acting resume has mostly included action roles like The Marine and 12 Rounds up until now, but with Apatow at the helm, it’s doubtful the former WWE Champion will get into many shootouts or fistfights here. Then again, the plot for the film is being kept under wraps, so it’s possible that Cena is being brought in to give Apatow’s slice-of-life humor a much needed attitude adjustment.

Trainwreck will hit theaters on July 24, 2015.
