If there's one thing that scares California Gov. Jerry Brown, it's weed.

Yesterday, Brown appeared on Meet the Press, revealing that a relax on he state's medical marijuana laws probably won't happen on his watch, as it would send this great country straight to hell. "The problem with anything, a certain amount is OK. But there is a tendency to go to extremes," Brown explained. "And all of a sudden, if there’s advertising and legitimacy, how many people can get stoned and still have a great state or a great nation?"

Plenty of people, Jerry. Plenty. Are Colorado and Washington not great states? Has the legal marijuana industry not been extremely profitable so far? Haven't people been getting extremely stoned for years? Above all, is any of this really ruining the country? Easing up just a bit on marijuana laws isn't going to run the United States into the ground.
