The Book of Mormon tour is headed to Utah — aka world headquarters for the Latter-Day Saints themselves. Trey Parker and Matt Stone's blockbuster musical is about two Mormon missionaries who go to Uganda to spread the word.
There are surely enough non-Mormons in Salt Lake City to make the tour stop a success, but we're guessing the LDS church isn't too happy about it. "The production may attempt to entertain audiences for an evening, but The Book of Mormon as a volume of scripture will change people's lives forever by bringing them closer to Christ," a church spokeswoman told the Salt Lake Tribune.
Yes, this musical will totally make converts out of the audience. Oh, wait. Book of Mormon hits Salt Lake City July 28, 2015.
