Longtime Saturday Night Live head writer and cast member Seth Meyers is trading in the Weekend Update desk for Jimmy Fallon's old seat as the head of Late Night. While he's been slowly disassociating himself from SNL he has still appeared regularly to continue hosting Weekend Update and train his successor, Cecily Strong.
Last night was Seth's final SNL before Cecily and newcomer Colin Jost lead the sketch into a new era. To commemorate his departure, after a typical Update that took time to riff on the State of the Union address and the "snowstorm" in Atlanta, a few special guests stopped by to send Seth off in style. Keep an eye out for a few fan-favorite former cast members, including Meyer's former co-anchor Amy Poehler and everyone's favorite gay correspondent, Stefon (Bill Hader).
