The Cast of "Scandal" Pretending Their Show Is a Telenovela is a Must Watch

Last night Scandal returned to America's television screens after a roughly two month hiatus. As a part of the show's homecoming roll-out, Kerry Washington appeared as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live—and as a part of that, Washington and a few other Scandal cast-members hilariously addressed one of the major criticisms applied to the show: That it's basically a soap opera with some sprinkles of a heavyweight political drama. Sure, it isn't House of Cards or The West Wing, but it is thoroughly entertaining. 

How did they do that? Oh, just with the clip above: A satire of Scandal and the most grandiose and far-fetched of the soap opera world—the telenovela. 

Watch "Escándalo" (yup, that's the word scandal in Spanish) above. 

Update: It looks like this isn't the last time we'll see Escándalo.
