10 Video Game Characters Who Should Pull Cameos in Other Titles

Original game: Banjo Kazooie
New game: Angry Birds

Kazooie has always been a bit of a hothead. Who can blame her? She lives in a backpack. Add that she hasn't been in a great game since Banjo-Tooie and you can see why she might be angry. An Angry Bird (we went there). For some anger management, we consider Kazooie take our her anger on some green pigs. Hey, being fired from a slingshot has to be better than living in a backpack, right?

Original game: Octodad
New game: Surgeon Simulator 2013

Octodad is not a dad. He's not even a human. Since he's faking everything, he might as well fake being a surgeon. What malpractice? Octodad and Surgeon Simulator 2013 both make games out of being difficult to control, so Octodad is really the perfect fit to guest star.

Original game: The Legend of Zelda
New game: Day Z

Link is a formidable warrior, and on the off chance Ganondorf isn't messing something up in Hyrule, we think he can be pretty successful in Day Z. He's fought off the ReDead before, so he's pretty set. He also brings along a pretty hefty set of tools that will help him survive longer than, say, your player character.

Original game: NCAA Football Series
New game: Madden NFL Football Series

Electronic Arts and the NCAA will tell you that college athletes don't show up in NCAA Football. You never see their names - just their numbers and physical likenesses. Oh, and they don't get paid for that. So they should all just move on up to Madden (all college players are good enough to go pro, right? No? Oops). At least there they get some of those sweet, sweet licensing dollars.

Original game: Resident Evil 2
New game: Animal Crossing Series

Leon has been through so much. He needs to just turn in his badge and gun and move to the suburbs in Animal Crossing. After fighing so many virus-infected monsters, he needs to be somewhere low-pressure. Let's surround him with cuddly teddy bears who will give him presents and treat him like the mayor. Now the only thing he'll be haunted by is paying back Tom Nook. On the other hand, virus-ridden monsters don't seem so bad...

Original game: PaRappa the Rapper
New game: DJ Hero

DJ Hero didn't get the love it deserved. Someone call Activision and tell them to bring it back. And while you're on the phone with Activision, tell them to stick PaRappa the Rapper in it and send some love to rhythm games' legacy. "I gotta believe!"

Original game: Grand Theft Auto V
New game: Mario Kart

Every time you fire a blue shell in Mario Kart and drive into first place, it's a hit and run. So why not add in some characters who specialize in that? The cast of Grand Theft Auto V could make things pretty heated. Then add in Franklin's special ability to focus as he drives, and no one is going to want to play as Yoshi anymore.

Original game: Call of Duty: Ghosts
New game: Nintendogs

Riley, aka "Call of Duty Dog", has been through a lot. It's time for the U.S. Army Ghosts to put him up for adoption so he can spend the rest of his days napping, playing fetch, and eating treats. That's exactly why he should lead up a new Nintendogs game. After playing through Ghosts with Riley, you can put him in your pocket and love him forever.

Original game: Metroid Series
New game: Halo Series

Halo, as groundbreaking and formative as it is, has always been a bit macho. Outside of multiplayer matches and Halo: Reach, we really haven't seen any women stepping up to the Spartan program.

Samus Aran is the woman's touch that Halo needs. She would add some variety to the world with her abilties and her armory and she could stand toe-to-toe with Master Chief. Since Samus did the armored-suit thing first, Chief should show her some respect.

Original game: Watch Dogs
New game: Batman: Arkham Series

As soon as we saw Aiden Pearce in the trailers for Watch Dogs, we knew he didn't belong in Chicago. He belongs in Gotham City.

You know how these things work in the comics. It's a pretty standard formula: Pearce and Batman initially begin as enemies, usually orchestrated by a cabal of villains, and after coming to an understanding that they've both been duped, team-up and save the day. Pretty boilerplate.

To Pearce's credit, he would make a great momentary villain in the Arkham series. Hacking Batman's weapons and forcing the detective to rely solely on his wits and physical prowess to survive. Pearce also seems like he is pretty formidable with his retractable baton, he could easily hold his own in a fight.

Afterwards, the new dynamic duo puts the beatdown on The Riddler and The Joker in grand crossover style.
