It's official. Meet Saturday Night Live's newest cast member: Sasheer Zamata. After months of controversy and criticisms surrounding a lack of diversity within SNL's cast, Deadline reports that the late night sketch comedy series has officially hired Zamata to the cast.

Zamata is the show's first female African-American cast member in five years since Maya Rudolph, and she was trained at the Upright Citizen's Brigade in NYC. You may recognize her from a comedy and viral videos floating around the web, particularly this one from CollegeHumor, in which she and other comedians lament the lack of dongs on HBO shows.

Now that she's an official player on the series, we won't have to wait long to see Zamata in action: Her debut will reportedly be later this month in SNL's January 18th episode, which features Drake as host and musical guest.
