The Internet is a pretty cool place, and Pope Francis seems to think so, too.

In a message to the Catholic Church regarding communications, Francis likened digital communications to “a balm which relieves pain and a fine wine which gladdens hearts,” which is one of the more poetic things we've heard so far in 2014. Francis goes on to say, "This is something truly good, a gift from God,” he wrote. Yet, he did offer the church a warning to the dark side of always being connected to smartphones and computers. “The desire for digital connectivity can have the effect of isolating us from our neighbours, from those closest to us.”

We're sure Snapshat wasn't on top of God's Internet wish list.
