It’s still a few months off, but director Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past has quickly become one of the most anticipated blockbusters of the year. By combining the cast of his original X-Men films with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class, Singer is looking to give Marvel fans the type of sci-fi action and bleak drama that they have been craving for years. But with a plot adapted from one of the company’s most iconic comic book stories, Singer has a lot to live up to.

In order to drum up anticipation for the sequel, two new images from the movie have debuted online, courtesy of Super Hero Hype and Entertainment Weekly. The first image gives a look at Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), a surprisingly vertical Professor X (James McAvoy), and Quicksilver (Evan Peters). The second image, well, is just an awkward moment with Wolverine and Beast (Nicholas Hoult).

X-Men: Days of Future Past will hit theaters on May 24.
