Yes, you read that headline correct. Mischa Barton, former star of The O.C. turned star of movies that even the dollar bin at Wal-Mart is too good for, is set to headline an upcoming project as legendary film star Jean Harlow. Said project? It's titled By Love Reclaimed, and yes, it was written by a guy who was under hypnosis at the time. This is literally the whole story.

According to The A.V. Club, the film is based off of the book By Love Reclaimed: Jean Harlow Returns to Clear Her Husband's Nameby psychiatrist Adrian Finkelstein and "modern-day intuitive Valerie Franich." According to the Internet, that means she's kind of a psychic, so OK. The screenplay is being written by Finkelstein as well, "through the use of hypnotic [past-life] regressions and extensive research" into Harlow's life before her untimely death at the age of 26 due to kidney failure.

And this is the movie Mischa Barton is going to star in. Hey, a job is a job, right?
