Deading the beef.

Authorities probed Congressman Michael Grimm's threat against NY1 reporter Michael Scotto, but it looks like this viral gold will end in a rather mature reconciliation.

On Tuesday night, Grimm told Scotto he would "throw [him] off [the] f****** balcony" after he was asked about a federal investigation into his campaign fundraising during President Obama's State of the Union address. According to NY1, Capitol Police reached out to Scotto about the encounter, but he declined to press charges.

Perhaps heeding Jon Stewart's wisdom (and also because he had to; this was caught on camera), Grimm apologized to Scotto, even offering to take him out to lunch. Scotto has reportedly accepted both.

Something good has come of this, other than everyone laughing at Congressman Grimm.
