Not worth it.

This was completely avoidable.

Authorities in Chicago say a man who dove into the frozen Chicago River after his cell phone this morning has been pronounced dead. Just after midnight, the unidentified 26-year-old Minnesota resident dropped his phone into the river as he and two friends walked along the Chicago Riverwalk. In an effort to grab the phone, he jumped over the security railing, right into the water.

His two friends dove into the river to save him. A 23-year-old man remains was hospitalized in stable condition, but a 21-year-old woman who remains missing is presumed dead by officials.

Your phone isn't worth your life, or anyone else's.
