According to a report from Twitch, 20th Century Fox is currently looking at Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) to direct the studio’s upcoming adaptation of Assassin’s Creed. Nothing is confirmed yet, but after 2012’s Safe House became a huge hit at the box office, it was only a matter of time before Espinosa was given a high-profile job like this.

It isn’t known which Assassin’s Creed game the movie will take its inspiration from yet. However, it has been confirmed that the film will be produced by and star Michael Fassbender, so there is some real interest in this project. With its August 2015 release date looming, expect an official announcement about the movie's director to be made soon.
