You can be the judge if the upcoming indie run-and-gun Cuphead looks more creepy than cute. Regardless the game's inked 1930s cartoon style with faces on everything and pumping arms looks like an action packed acid trip that aims to have the most boss battles per game ever.

Developer, Studio MDHR, hope to release Cuphead in episodes, each with 10-15 boss fights, to break the Guinness World Record for most boss fights in a run 'n' gun game. If they all look half as good as the one featured below then Cuphead could be quite a treat.

Studio MDHR describes there game as ”a classic run ‘n’ gun set in the style of a one-on-one fighting game universe. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930′s, the visuals and audio were painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional cel animation (hand drawn & hand inked!), watercolor backgrounds, and live jazz recordings.”

The studio hopes to release Cuphead sometime in 2014, first on PC and then to the moon!
