Bethesda Softworks has announced its most anticipated game since Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls Online will be launching for PC in April and next-gen consoles in June of 2014.

The Elder Scrolls Online is a subscription based massively multiplayer online game set in the magical and dragon filled world of the classic Elder Scrolls series. Bethesda is looking to open up character building by letting players pick any skills or paths they like. Users can build exactly the kind of eclectic character they're looking for. Want to be a great mage? Just pick up a staff and start wielding or switch to a sword half way through, the choice is up to you. Players will progress up a skill tree to finally unlock Ultimate Powers to do deal some serious damage.

Check out the trailer for a look at how the massive player vs. player combat will work. Unfortunately we're going to have to wait all the way until summer to get our hands on it but a beta is live now for PC users. Get it here.
