Need an excuse to play Sonic the Hedgehog 2 again? Sega's giving you one with the mobile re-release of their Genesis classic, complete with the never-before-released Hidden Palace Zone, a boss attack mode and the ability to play as either Tales or Knuckles. For the uninitated, Sonic 2's Hidden Palace Zone was a partially completed level that scrapped from the game fairly late in production in 1992, and has never been included in any release of the game before.
Though you can see a little bit of footage from Hidden Palace in the trailer, Sonic 2 will only set you back $3 on iOS or Android (and the update for the new features is free if you've already downloaded the game in the past), so old-school Sonic fans should probably go pick it up.
