While the nature of storied sports newscaster/television broadcaster Robin Roberts' sexual orientation has been more or less known, today was the first time she publicly acknowledged it, officially confirming that she is indeed gay.
Roberts took to Facebook to post a flashback photo of herself on her hundredth day post the life-saving bone marrow transplant that forced her to take a temporary leave from Good Morning America. In the caption she reflects on that period of her life and expresses gratitude to friends, family, fans who prayed for her recovery, and her "long time girlfriend Amber." Congratulations to Robin, Amber and the Roberts family.
