Imagine moving into your apartment and discovering there was an extra furnishing you didn't know about—a huge, military-style rocket.
The New York Post reports that a couple was moving into their Lower East Side apartment Monday when they discovered the explosive. They phoned police, and the NYPD's bomb-squad ultimately determined that the rocket was inactive, much to everyone's relief.
After a quick search of the apartment, police removed the rocket. No criminal activity was suspected, so no arrests were made. The couple should ask if they can get a little bit of money knocked off of next month's rent, though.
