After ages of forced promotion and making us all to watch episodes just to see the promo for the next episode of Breaking Bad, AMC has finally given up on Low Winter Sun: According to Vulture, the struggling series has been officially canceled by the network after one season.

This news isn't surprising, if you take a look at the ratings: Whereas 2.5 million people tuned in to the drama's premiere this past August, only 630,000 viewers tuned in to the finale—a major drop, considering its lead-in was Breaking Bad for a good portion of its run. The show, which starred Mark Strong as a detective who believes his girlfriend may have been murdered by one of his fellow detectives, is said to have created about 245 jobs for the city of Detroit, where it was set.

AMC has not commented on the cancellation.
