According to authorities in Boca Raton, Fla., a woman accidentally shot and killed her boyfriend with a gun she did not know was loaded.
On Sunday, 22-year-old Justin Holt and 20-year-old Erin Steele were visiting friends, when another friend arrived and decided to liven things up by sharing an unloaded pistol. The foursome spent the day pointing the gun at each other and pulling the trigger, like something out of a Larry Clark movie. However, gun owner Joshua Henry loaded it—a fact no one else was aware of—and placed it on the counter.
Unfortunately, Steele decided to start the game again, pointing the weapon at Holt and pulling the trigger. He was rushed to Delray Medical Center and later pronounced dead. However, Holt's family does not hold Steele responsible, saying the incident was an accident.
Though the investigation is ongoing, police have yet to charge anyone.
