Whether your eyes and ears are ready for it or not, director Paul W.S. Anderson is coming back to theaters in 2014 with a blistering disaster picture titled Pompeii. Set in the ill-fated Ancient Roman city, Pompeii stars Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) as a slave turned gladiator named Milo who falls in love with a wealthy woman named Cassia (Emily Browning) in 79 A.D. As the action takes place on the ground, Mount Vesuvius erupts, threatening both Milo and Cassia, as well as the entire city.
Anyone even remotely familiar with Anderson’s previous work, like G.I. Joe or multiple installments in the Resident Evil franchise, knows that Pompeii will offer more than enough action and explosions, but will there actually be a story this time?
