During his last hurrah as Brooklyn Borough President, Marty Markowitz blessed BK with a new crown. "We remain the lesbian capital of New York City and the Northeast," he said during an interview with WNYC.
He elaborated:
In other words, we have a much larger lesbian population in Brooklyn. New York City is fortunate to have a large LBGT community, but in Brooklyn in particular, the lesbian community, there’s no question it’s the capital of the Northeast.
BK pride, yet another honor for Brooklyn, which should appreciate Markowitz's 12 years of service.
