Yesterday evening, the 17-year-old girl who was shot in the head by a gunman at Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colo. last Friday passed away. According to an announcement by Littleton Adventist Hospital, Claire Davis died at 6:29 p.m., eight days after 18-year-old Karl Pierson shot her at point-blank range. The hospital called her death "immensely heartbreaking" for the staff, as well as the entire community.
