Correction: this is the greatest map of the U.S. ever.
Created by Business Insider, it shows the most popular pizza toppings in the U.S., according to state. Advisor Brian Roemmele supplied them with data from retailers across America regarding the most frequently requested toppings. Pepperoni is the clear American favorite.
There's still a little bit of room for deviation. For example, only about 20 percent of New Yorkers and Californians ordered pepperoni on their pizzas, as compared to roughly 40 percent of Georgians. Fourteen percent of New Yorkers preferred mushrooms, compared to just eight percent of Tennessee residents.
Regardless, pepperoni reigns supreme, with sausage trailing it. Check out the pie chart above (see what we did there?) for more insight.
