It's been a couple years in the making, and now Disney has finally dropped their first teaser trailer of the Sleeping Beauty spin-off, Maleficent. Out next summer, the live-action fantasy flick, directed by Robert Stromberg, tells the story of the titular scorned witch behind Sleeping Beauty's (Elle Fanning) curse. Sharlto Copley, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville round out the cast.
The footage shows its star Angelina Jolie looking as translucent, as sinister, and as haunting as ever as the horned anti-hero. It's no wonder that children who were invited for a set visit during production ran away from a costumed Jolie screaming and crying. That's all to say, the imaginative clip doesn't disappoint. Watching it is like going on a Disneyland ride. So strap in and enjoy.
