New Yorkers and visitors to the city should plan their weekends around this adjustment. The MTA has shut down L train service between Manhattan and Brooklyn from Nov. 15 through Nov. 18, and contrary to what anyone might believe, this may not be the end of the world. The L train is one of the more popular lines, so that absence of service could make North Brooklyn more quiet this weekend. That's not exactly the worst case scenario.
