Not saying this is dumb, but it's dumb.

Justin Bieber is trying to get his Timberlake on by investing in a new social network called Shots of Me. Awesome.

A company that previously made mobile games under the name RockLive created the network. Shots of Me will be teen-focused, and has investors such as venture capitalist Shervin Pishevar, boxer Floyd Mayweather and angel investor Tom McInerney. Bieber led a $1.1 million dollar seed round into the project—and there are currently no revealing details about what social network is about (sounds like a bunch of selfies), except that it's supposed to show up in the Apple Store later this week. "We got to know Justin after he began playing our games and tweeting about it," said RockLive CEO John Shahidi. "He's been very involved in our products, helping us test things and providing feedback… When we told him that we were looking to create a social network for teens that really addresses what they aren't getting on other networks, and which tries to deal with things like cyber-bullying, his eyes just lit up."

With Bieber's social following, it will be easy to get the word out. But big names only go so far when it comes to creating something people will like, and as shown before, when you create a social network that is limited to a certain group, things never really turn out well.
