Recently the domain for Accolade’s awful PS One abomination Bubsy 3D expired, and no sooner did it than the enterprising young developers at Arcane Kids jumped on it to resurrect the forgettable ‘90s mascot for a new game.
You’ll really want to see this. It’s called Bubsy 3D: Bubsy Visits The James Turrell Retrospective, and yes, you actually walk Bubsy through a series of installations for the contemporary artist here.
“Explore your relationship with art as you guide bubsy through a realistic recreation of the James Turrell Retrospective at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art,” the site tells us. “After you have played Bubsy3d and understand art a little better, Arcane Kids encourages you to go visit an art museum in your area and quit video games.”
There’s really not much else to say other than that you need to get to the end of the exhibit and experience the surreal and possibly anti-capitalist trip that ensues.
Play Bubsy Visits The James Turrell Retrospective right here, in your browser, right now.
