Authorities in Philadelphia say that a four-year-old boy brought eight bags of crack and $173 to school and showed another student. CBS Philadelphia reports that the other student then alerted teachers at Thomas Mifflin Elementary School in Philadelphia's East Falls section.

Some parents seemed unphased by the incident. "I’m shocked that a kid was able to bring drugs to school, but it isn’t really surprising with the drug epidemic in the city," Jennifer Gallagher told CBS Philadelphia. Worse, Philadelphia school officials say this has happened before.

"Not very often, but unfortunately it has happen in the past. There have been incidents in which children have access to these types of substances," said School District of Philadelphia Chief of Communications Fernando Gallard.

A K-9 unit was brought in to sniff out any other drugs, but none were found. The boy was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for evaluation and the school district adds that he will be allowed to return to school. Meanwhile, police are questioning his uncle.
