Contrary to reports that surfaced earlier today, Paramount is specifying that Michael Bay was not injured from an attack on the set of Transformers 4 today in Hong Kong—instead, the studio says, the production team did have a "bizarre encounter " who was allegedly under the influence and using an air conditioner as a weapon. Original reports stated that Bay was attacked by two brothers on the set of Transformers 4, who demanded about $12,900 for "unknown reasons." (Probably to spend it.) Reports also said that Bay suffered minor injuries from the attack, including a cut on the right side of his face, but declined medical treatment. For a story that is apparently completely fabricated, it was all pretty specific.
Transformers 4 is currently filming, and is set to be released in June 2014.
