Vodka is definitely an acquired taste, but at its best, its smooth as hell. A 2012 study which christened vodka the most popular liquor in America also revealed the top 5 vodkas in America, and so the Huffington Post decided to put these brands to task through a taste test. Smirnoff came out on top, with feedback ranging from "Smooth, not sweet," to "Drinkable and clean."
The rest of the top 5 included (in order), Grey Goose, Ketel One, Absolut and Stolichnaya.
