The Battlefield 4 closed beta is now available for download for those players who have been accepted, but North American users have having problems getting access to the game. While it is suppose to be showing up on Xbox Live's dashboard to those with access, it hasn't been yet. Apparently because of issues on Microsoft's side but not helped by the server crush of Grand Theft Auto Online going live this morning.

While DICE, the makers of Battlefield 4, works to fix the problem some users have discovered a work around by changing their consoles location settings to the UK. The video above shows how one user got around the server crush and was able to get the beta. We don't recommend this so attempt at your own risk.

If you haven’t pre-order your copy of Battlefield 4 or otherwise been invited to the closed multiplayer beta you'll have to wait until October 4th to try out the beta before the game drops on October 29 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and next-gen systems as they are released.
