Anyone in Brooklyn who's spent a significant amount of time in Washington, D.C. might be curious as to why the area around the Brooklyn Museum looks strikingly similar to the nation's capital today. Blame James Spader.

NBC's The Blacklist—which stars Spader as a rogue ex-government agent who agrees to help the FBI through dealings with a young profiler on some Hannibal Lecter/Clarice Starling shit—will be filming in the vacinity today, complete with fictional police, ambulance and fire department on hand to effectively create the guise of a Hazmat situation.

Don't be alarmed, it's all for show.
