When are folks going to learn that you absolutely cannot bring a gun to the 9/11 Memorial in New York City. Wisconsin native Ursula Jerry was visiting the memorial yesterday when a security guard noticed a .380-caliber semi-automatic Kel Tec handgun inside of her purse.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Jerry, 41, told authorities that she traveled with the gun in her purse to New York City on Amtrak and that she "[did not] mean to harm anyone." That's simply not the point. Though she has a permit to carry the weapon in her home state of Wisconsin, but not New York City, where gun laws will leave you high and dry. Ask Lil Wayne.
This is exceptionally bad because it's far from the first time someone has been arrested for a similar offense.
