"Dark Souls II" Release Date Announced (Video)

Have you finally shaken those nightmares after playing Dark Souls? Have you worked through, with your therapist, the deep feeling of shame and impotence that come with not being able to comprehend the difficulty of it? Well there's good news! Dark Souls IIis set to drop in March of 2014 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Perhaps this is a good time to mentally prepare yourself for what's to come. Dark Souls II is the sequel to the critically acclaimed, and wickedly difficult, Dark Souls where a nameless undead tries to free himself from a dark and magical land.

PlayStation 3 owners in North America can sign up now for a beta beginning October 12 while Xbox 360 users will have to wait until the retail version hits on March 11, 2014 to get there hands on it. Namco Bandai, the game's developer, promises a PC version shortly after but no release date has yet been given.

Gamers who want to pre-order the collector's edition will receive a soundtrack, art book, 12-inch figurine and a cloth map to wipe away the tears of frustration. See more details at the end of the trailer above.
