In 1992, TV showrunners went back in time to the '70s to ressurect The Tomorrow People, a British show about human evolution. The new TP had a charmingly diverse cast of young actors and actresses who epitomized hip for the Nickelodeon set, where the second incarnation of the show ran. And then the '90s ended. Now, The CW is carrying on the work of Nick by bringing back The Tomorrow People for a third time.

The premise remains the same: The world encounters the next stage of evolution in the form of the Tomorrow People, kids born to regular parents but with serious upgrades, not limited to telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation. Because this is on The CW, adolescent sexual angst/exploration and hot dubstep tracks will play a larger role. Start a new cult every day is the adopted motto of The CW's teen-centric programming, and the network must surely be hoping to have another Supernatural on its hands with this reboot of a reboot. —RS
