Mister Softee doesn't play around.

The soft-serve giant has filed a lawsuit against four ice cream truck owners whose vans are strikingly similar to its own, all the way down to trademark Mister Softee signature. The most egregious alleged culprit is John Argyros. Though he has all the necessary licensing for a Mister Softee franchise along with truck with a Mister Softee sign and mascot, he doesn't have permission to use the truck officially.

According to the New York Post, the suit claims that less-savvy patrons are being duped into thinking they're eating Mister Softee ice cream by impostors. "Mister Softee brings this action to protect the public, who are being deceived and confused by the Defendants as a result of Defendants unlawful use of Mister Softee's trademark," the suit alleges. It's deeper than ice cream.
