Beginning this Friday, Apple Stores in New York City will accep trade-ins of dated iPhones. This program, which iPhone owners have been waiting for impatiently, is being executed to increase sales for the new iPhone due out next month. While other companies have similar trade-in programs, old iPhones have greater value than their counterparts.
While the details of the program remain hidden, the New York Post reports that employees at Apple Stores in SoHo and the Upper West Side said the trade-ins would start on Friday. No word on what's in the pipeline for the Fifth Avenue, Meatpacking District and Grand Central Terminal locations.
