Chalk this one up to useless-but-really-cool promotion: Namco Bandai hired famed armorer Armedia – known for producing untold legion of helms, weapons, shields and other assorted medieval combat accouterments for film and television – to make a perfect copy of Dark Souls II’s undead knight’s armor. (You know, the one with the fur trim that looks like something out of a demonic Game of Thrones.)
The result is this cool step-by-step video of how the full regalia was painstakingly created, though you don’t get to see much of it in action, and what’s there in “combat” looks less HBO and more, uh, public access, despite being nicely shot.
But it’s guaranteed to get any cosplayer salivating. You know you want one.
