Here's the funny thing about the Internet: No matter how much time you actually spend online, you will never see and experience everything the Internet has to offer. The sheer magnitude of videos, websites, games, photos, social media sites and zany GIFs is far too much for one person to find on their own. So we decided to compile a handy list. Here are the best things to do on the Internet this weekend, August 17 - 18.

WOWOWOWOW. Okay, deep breathes, everyone. Let's calm down. This game can't be that awesome, right? Like, we won't be so obsessed with it that we'll forget to shower, eat, go to work, and interact with the outside world, will we? No, of course not! But, maybe we should just go ahead and clear our schedules for the week that it drops. Just as a precautionary measure, y'know?

Follow Stephen Colbert's Investigation on the State of Small-Town America

When America's small-town conservative values are threatened, you know that Stephen Colbert will be on the scene to let us know all about it. On his latest adventure, Colbert travels to Vicco, KY to dig deep on a new attack against our country's humble way of life: a gay mayor. Uhhh...wait, what? That definitely sounds backwards, but just check out the video. You'll see our favorite satirical news host is at his absolute best here, delivering a surprisingly refreshing look at a progessive rural community that doesn't fall victim to stereotypes like "backwater" or "hillbilly," much to Colbert's exaggerated—and hilarious—chagrin.

Rapper/actor Childish Gambino enlists the help of Trinidad James, Chance the Rapper, Flying Lotus and Danielle Fishel (better known as Topanga from Boy Meets World) to create his newest short film, Clapping for the Wrong Reasons. The film is a fiction based in reality, with all of the characters playing themselves, hanging out in the sunny and beautiful Los Angeles, but stricken with an unshakeable sense of detachment and ennui. If you're a fan of projects like Sofia Coppola's Somewhere or Frank Ocean's "Super Rich Kids," then you'll love this. Peep the 24-minute film in its entirety above.
