Staten Island residents were stoked backed in September when word got out that a Sonic Drive-In might be opening in the future. Those hopes and dreams have now officially been crushed, as the company announced that it has no plans to do so. "At this time, Sonic does not have confirmed plans to open a Drive-In in the Staten Island area," Sonic said in a release this week.
They did, however, say that their goal is to have Sonic locations "convenient to all customers," so keep hope alive.
