“Shadow of the Eternals” Latest Crowdfunding Campaign Kicks Off July 25

Third time's the charm, right?

None

Shadow of the Eternals, the attempted crowdfunded spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness, has not been doing especially well as of late. Aside from hitting a PR low following a surprising arrest last month, the game has now gone through two unsuccessful funding campaigns – one on Precursor Games’ website and a second on Kickstarter – where it raised a combined total of $234,000 of the $1.5 million asked for. (The developer pulled out of their Kickstarter campaign before its June 19th deadline hit.)

Now Precursor Games is trying again with a new Kickstarter launching July 25th after listening to feedback from the fans and backers. Given the sheer bad luck of this project has seen thus far, it’s not a sure thing that, even with new perks and community involvement, Shadow of the Eternals will reach its funding goal.
