Dead Rising 3 was shown off in semi-long form at San Diego Comic Con, demoing over 20 minutes of gameplay from the next-gen sequel.
Aside from showcasing some great particle and lighting effects – particularly in dark areas – some highlights from the off-screen footage include custom weapon building (shovel-circular saw, anyone?), driving a hearse through a populated graveyard and shooting some sort of homemade pipebomb bazooka into a horde-infested area from a rooftop wearing a sundress.
Nice to see Dead Rising hasn’t lost its sense of irony. If you’re a fan of zombie sandboxes, this’ll be right up your alley.
