Just in time for Nelson Mandela's 95th birthday today, The Weinstein Company has finally rolled out a full, official trailer that gives us a good look at what we can expect from the film. Starring Idris Elba as the legendary South African revolutionary turned president, it was directed by Justin Chadwick, and based off of Mandela's 1994 book, Long Walk to Freedom.
Mandela was recently hospitalized for a recurring lung condition, and court documents released earlier this month stated that Mandela was in a 'vegetative state' and on life support. However, according to recent reports, Mandela has been 'steadily improving,' and may even go home soon.
