Following last week's monumental decision on same-sex marriage, free ceremonies will be performed in West Hollywood today. Each ceremony will be performed on a first-come, first-serve basis and the West Hollywood City Council and other city officials will marry as many people as possible between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
While this is amazing, it will not be a simple process. Couples looking to tie the knot must have obtained a marriage license from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorded prior to the wedding. There will be a shuttle running from the West Hollywood City Council Chambers and the Beverly Hills County branch every 30 minutes from 7:45 a.m. until 4 p.m.
