Final Fantasy VII has finally launched on Steam after years of rumors suggesting it was on the way to a digital distribution platform.
The game was re-released to the PC last year by Square Enix, but it was only offered though the publisher's online store. Now Final Fantasy VII is available on Steam for $11.99 featuring Steam achievements, "partial controller support" which is always questionable, but with no disc-swapping at a 3GB download.
Two years ago Final Fantasy VII showed up on a Valve content description record listing all the titles on its servers and later appeared in the steam product description page but it's finally released today.
