The people over at Gizmodo compiled some of the best "animal aping science has come up with yet"—and it's incredible. All of these innovations vary on how they function and what they do. For example, an amphibious salamander-like robot called the Salamandra Robotica II, has foldable limbs that allow it to walk, swim and crawl. Then there's the cardboard cockroach called the VELOCIRoACH, whose six legs allows it to be the second fastest robot in the world.
