Two experienced Tampa police officers were fired last week after it was revealed that they spent an absurd amount of time at a strip club while they were on the job. Ten-year veteran Antonio Ortega and 23-year veteran Paul Madsen were officially terminated on Friday after an investigation showed that the two spent over six hours at the Penthouse Club last November.
Ortega and Madsen reportedly started drinking three hours before their shift started before using a mobile device to log in. They remained at the gentlemen's club, continuing to toss back drinks for another four hours. Two supervisors—one who tracked them to the club and another—were served with one-day suspensions for waiting to report their findings.
